I'm pretty sure that Trojan stuff is a false positive. Even the tpf files look like Trojans to an antivirus because they are mysterious small unknown file types. The official wiki has all. You need if you go to the texmod page. Been goin on 3 years or so using texmod and stuff from the wiki and haven't had one single problem or even ever came close to almost having one.
Edit: I know a few basics if you shoot me a PM here on guru I'll get back to ya when I can and hopefully answer your questions. Sent from my iPod. Last edited by Bob Slydell; Mar 29, 2010 at 11:05 PM // 23:05.. |

The reason they come up as False Positives is because the antivirus you are using(in my case was mcafee) sees TEXMOD and .tpf files is because it edits the .dat file. Most programs that so such are trojans and things of that nature but Texmod off the OFFICIAL wikki is safe, as far as I know. I have it and No issues ever.

Because texmod alters another program's process, it technically fits the broad definition of a virus. However, the versions currently linked on the official wiki have been thoroughly tested and are free from any harmful additives.
